You may know me from my private practice of 20+ years in greater Hartford or from Trinity Health of New England's Integrative Medicine department. The Integrative Medicine program has been closed but I shall remain in Prospect to serve the greater Waterbury community.
I have been practicing acupuncture and energy medicine in central Connecticut since graduation from the New England School of Acupuncture (now part of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences) in the spring of 2000.
I primarily treat patients who have chronic or difficult to treat conditions (such as neuropathy or Crohn's/colitis) and who have not been satisfactorily treated with medicines or other interventions. My approach is somewhat unusual in that needles are inserted (usually) in arms and legs but not in the areas that are painful or problematic. I almost always make dietary recommendations and often suggest other lifestyle modifications to help optimize outcomes.
Do you have health complications from Covid? It is such a new illness that no one really understands the long-term effects and diagnostic testing rarely finds obvious problems after Covid infections have resolved. We are seeing many "long Covid" complaints and find that patients' reported quality of life is routinely better with regular acupuncture treatment.
